Where has the time gone???

I have decided to try and keep up with a blog. Give more details of what's going with us. If you have us on Facebook you can see our pictures, so I thought this could be more detailed with whats going on with us!

So here we are.....January 20, 2011. I've never been good at relaying my thoughts to paper. So I'm going to try and give it a go!!

Let's go back to Oct 2006 real quick....just do a quick recap to where we are today! I promise to keep it short! :) Brian deployed for 7 months taking us up to May of 2007. He got accepted into the MSG (Marine Security Guard) Program in July 2007. But before he went off to that school he did an Advance MOS Course for 2 months (July-September 2007) and then Staff Academy (October-Decemeber 2007). He had about 3 weeks in between each class. He left for Quantico, VA January 1, 2008 for MSG school for 2 months.

FINALLY, graduation day was here. I met him out in Quantico for the graduation. We found out a week before where we were going. We were going to Skopje, Macedonia (pronounced Scope-e-ah). We returned to 29 Palms in early March to get stuff packed up and shipped out. We arrived in Macedonia April 8, 2008. I'll never forget the smells, the sights that I sensed. (I'll cover our time in MK at some point later). We were there for 16 months and left August 3rd, 2009 back to VA for our leave for 2.5 weeks. We left VA August 22, 2008 and arrived in beautiful Barbados. I have different feelings about this place after living here......again, I'll touch base about here at a later time.

I must also mention that we had an unexpected, but extremely happy suprise.......we were 6 weeks pregnant a month after getting to Barbados!!! It was a rough pregnancy, but so worth it in the end. Our due date was May 26th. I thought we would wait til we got back, but there were other plans. We had been wanting to have one over the last couple years and it finally happened. I had to return to the states in February to have our little one. I found out a couple weeks later it was a girl!! We were beyond estatic. Brian stayed in Barbados up until I "thought" I was in labor. I thought she was going to come like 3 weeks early, luckily she didn't. Brian made it up to VA May 5th and we welcomed our little baby, Jadzia Abigail, on May 18th at 2:44 am. Weighing in at 6 lbs 9 oz and 19 inches long. She was gorgeous and I became a believer in love at first sight! Brian was there for 2 weeks before returning home, and Jaz and I followed when she was 6 weeks old.

So her we are.......January 20, 2011.

We have 10 weeks left here in Barbados and I can't wait to get back home to CA!!! During our last 10 weeks we have a couple trips: Lima, Peru and London, England.

That's just a quick recap of our lives over the last 4.5 years!

Cheers!
